And that's a pretty cool sight, especially since there are far more air combo moves. Only now you can perform jutsu in the air. Pulling off jutsu is just as before - holding down a trigger and using the thumbsticks to perform hand signals. The trick is finding the right jutsu and dealing enough damage to take Kabuto out in one shot. Unless you score massive damage, you'll see Kabuto heal again and again. He can heal himself, making it difficult to take him down. The battle in the E3 demo has Naruto and friends taking on Kabuto. You can swap characters at any time, allowing you to juggle an enemy, switch to another character, and lay down some sweet jutsu. With gate open, Naruto and crew can proceed to the new battle system. This shadow form then slithers across the Naruto bridge, under the broken wood bottom of the gate, and flips the switch. YES NO That's where you switch teammates to one who can create a shadow form. Ah, but you still have to get past the locked gate on the other side. Once you have enough, Naruto's clone tower falls down, creating a bridge across the river. You'll need to balance as this tower of Narutos is formed. What to do? Have Naruto use his Shadow Clone jutsu. The clever bandits have destroyed the bridge, though. But before they can get to the bandit HQ, they need to pass over a river. At one point, Naruto and company are hunting for some bandits. Because you now have a team to command, some of the puzzle elements have been advanced. There's a lot more to explore and multiple paths throughout the world to break up the linear feeling of the previous game. Fortunately, Broken Bond features an expanded world. Ubisoft Montreal is putting a focus on the adventure elements and toning down the role of fighting. And you will be doing a lot of adventuring this time around. This will really open up the adventure elements of the game, as you are no longer limited to Naruto's small number of jutsu. You can easily switch characters with a press of the d-pad. There are seven playable characters in the adventure mode with at least two able to join your party at any time. Where the previous Naruto put you solely in control of the title character, you have a posse for the sequel. Konoha village has been destroyed and needs to be rebuilt (and defended). Set for a November release, Naruto: The Broken Bond picks up where the last game left off, retelling the events of episodes 81-135.

Ubisoft is prepping a sequel to the Xbox 360 exclusive, Naruto: Rise of a Ninja.
